My name is Chani Fletcher
I am a professional genealogist who has been researching family trees for over 25 years. Originally from Australia but now based in the UK, I specialise in genealogy research in both countries.
In addition to traditional research, I have experience in using DNA to identify families in cases where illegitimacy or adoption occurred, allowing research to be taken where written sources cannot be used.
I have contributed to various historical projects including providing transcriptions in the Frank Austen Project, and transcribing original parish records for Kent FreeREG.
I have a Bachelor degree in English and History from the University of Queensland and I have written two family history books based on my research, The Beasley Family: Convicts and Settlers and The Fletcher Family: The Story of Our Origins.
